Tiny Houses in Spain
Frequently Asked Questions
Tiny Houses in Spain & ARTS Eco Village™
1. What is a Tiny House in Spain?
A Tiny House is a compact, fully equipped home designed to make efficient use of space without sacrificing comfort. In Spain, Tiny Houses can be particularly well suited to the Mediterranean lifestyle, where outdoor living, natural light and a connection with nature are important.
At ARTS Eco Village™, we are developing a Tiny House concept specifically for recreational and tourism use in Southern Spain.
2. Why are Tiny Houses becoming popular in Spain?
Tiny Houses combine a smaller footprint with a simpler and more flexible way of living or staying.
Spain, and particularly Southern Spain, offers a combination of climate, outdoor lifestyle and natural surroundings that can make the Tiny House concept especially attractive.
For ARTS Eco Village™, the idea is not simply to create smaller accommodation, but to combine Tiny Houses with a carefully planned village setting and the surrounding landscape.
3. How much does a Tiny House cost in Spain?
The price of a Tiny House in Spain depends on its size, specifications, interior finish, equipment and the way it is developed and installed.
For ARTS Eco Village™, our current planning assumption is an average price of approximately €125,000 per Tiny House. This is an indicative figure rather than a final selling price and may change as the project develops.
4. What is included in the price of a Tiny House?
What is included will depend on the final Tiny House specifications and the structure of the ARTS Eco Village™ project.
The final package is expected to cover the Tiny House itself and its interior specification, while certain elements such as site infrastructure, landscaping, village facilities, services and other project-related costs may be treated separately.
Full specifications and pricing will be published as the project progresses towards the sales stage.
5. Can foreigners buy a Tiny House in Spain?
International buyers are an important part of the potential market for ARTS Eco Village™.
The possibility of purchasing a Tiny House, and the legal structure under which it can be owned and used, will depend on the final project structure, location and applicable Spanish and local regulations.
We will provide clear information about the purchase structure as the project reaches the appropriate stage.
6. Can you live permanently in a Tiny House in Spain?
No. The permitted use of a Tiny House depends on the location, planning classification, licensing and the legal structure of the development.
ARTS Eco Village™ is being developed as a recreational and tourism concept rather than a permanent residential development.
The permitted use and occupancy arrangements will be confirmed as part of the planning and licensing process for each development.
7. Where are the best places for Tiny House living in Spain?
Spain offers many different environments for Tiny House living and tourism, from coastal areas and Mediterranean countryside to more rural inland locations.
Southern Spain is particularly interesting because of its climate, outdoor lifestyle and diverse landscapes.
For ARTS Eco Village™, the location of each future village will be selected according to factors such as accessibility, surroundings, planning possibilities, infrastructure and the character of the location.
8. What is a Tiny House village?
A Tiny House village brings a number of individual Tiny Houses together within a carefully planned setting.
Rather than simply placing Tiny Houses on a piece of land, the concept can include landscaping, shared facilities, outdoor spaces, hospitality services and other elements that create a coherent destination.
ARTS Eco Village™ is being developed around this broader idea: Tiny Houses + nature + outdoor living + hospitality.
9. What is an eco village in Spain?
An eco village is generally a development that places greater emphasis on nature, sustainability, efficient use of resources and a considered relationship between buildings and their surroundings.
There is no single model for an eco village. Each project can have its own character, facilities and level of sustainability.
ARTS Eco Village™ aims to combine these principles with comfortable Tiny House accommodation and a Mediterranean outdoor lifestyle.
10. Is ARTS Eco Village™ a permanent residential community?
No. ARTS Eco Village™ is being developed as a recreational and tourism destination, rather than as a conventional permanent residential development.
The intention is to create a relaxed village setting where people can enjoy Tiny House accommodation, nature, outdoor spaces and selected facilities and activities.
The precise permitted use will always depend on the final location and applicable planning and licensing requirements.
11. Can I rent a Tiny House at ARTS Eco Village™?
Rental opportunities are part of the wider ARTS Eco Village™ concept.
Depending on the final project structure, owners may have the opportunity to make their Tiny House available for managed rental when they are not using it themselves.
The exact rental model, management arrangements and availability will be announced once the project structure has been finalised.
No rental income or financial return is guaranteed.
12. Is buying a Tiny House at ARTS Eco Village™ an investment?
A Tiny House can potentially combine personal use with an asset component, and managed rental may provide an additional use opportunity where permitted.
However, ARTS Eco Village™ should not be viewed as a guaranteed investment or source of income. Any future rental potential will depend on the location, final project structure, operating costs, market demand and applicable regulations.
We will provide more detailed information as the project develops.
13. What makes ARTS Eco Village™ different from a traditional Tiny House development?
The concept goes beyond the Tiny House itself.
ARTS Eco Village™ is being developed as a small-scale village destination, combining individual Tiny Houses with nature, outdoor spaces, shared facilities, hospitality and selected activities.
The aim is to create a place with its own identity and atmosphere, rather than simply a collection of standalone Tiny Houses.
Each future location may have its own character while remaining part of the wider ARTS Eco Village™ concept.
14. Will there be more ARTS Eco Villages in Spain?
Potentially, yes.
Our ambition is not necessarily limited to one village. The first project is intended to demonstrate that the concept can work commercially and operationally.
If successful, the model could potentially be adapted to additional suitable locations in Southern Spain and beyond.
Future villages would not necessarily be identical. Each location could have its own size, facilities, landscape and character while following the wider ARTS Eco Village™ concept.
15. What stage is ARTS Eco Village™ currently at?
ARTS Eco Village™ is currently in its development and pre-launch phase.
We are working on the concept, identifying and evaluating suitable locations, developing the project structure and building the market through the Pioneer Programme.
The final location, planning, licensing, Tiny House specifications, pricing and development timetable will be confirmed progressively as the project advances.
Pioneers will receive priority information and updates as important milestones are reached.
